Educating the 21st Century Citizen
Chinese products are consumed all over the world and China has become the 4th biggest economy. On 8 August 2008, spotlights shone on the Chinese people when the whole world witnessed the grand performance of the Olympic Games. The world has got to know more about China, and China has made a big and significant step in understanding the world. Having worked hard for several generations, we are beginning to see the fruits of our impact on the world. As a country with 1.3 billion people, we have firmly planted our roots, here in China! The world, is our home!
In this new century, what responsibilities do we need to assume? Our contribution should not only be in material things. In terms of civilization and culture, we ought to play a even bigger role. We need to learn the lessons from the past, and to understand our own nation and our world. How do Man and Man, Man and Nature, Man and Everything co-exist, prosper and share? To improve continuously, everyone needs education! To nurture a new generation of confident and humble Chinese people, to let them develop a vision for the universe, a horizon for the world, a heart for all human kind, and to let them lead China go ahead in the waves of world civilization. Everyone needs education!
We have, therefore, come to Mainland China to establish the Yew Wah International Education School in order to give quality international education to the young people of China.
